"I don't think it's the fact that they where too weak, more of a fact that they where overrun by numbers and where tired. "

Erm that's weak, when you play Kouyate/Noble and four offensive players against most midfielders they are outnumbered and overrun.

That's a weakness in the team and why I believe you need to have Obiang behind them.

Give Antonio a crack...he'll be looking to impress and cement himself in the team!!!...definitely need to get at this lot early and get the crowd on their backs!!..will be tough game!!

Re: Team vs Sunderland
Noble is captain so you know he will play.

Defence is interesting - Tomkins has been excellent at right back, so do you stick with him there away from home and sacrifice a bit going forward?

This is potentially more difficult a proposition than our recent away matches .

I don't think it's the fact that they where too weak, more of a fact that they where overrun by numbers and where tired. Bilic was outdone tactically on Saturday at home once again and it could've been 3 out of 4 defeats.

Obiang is impressing me so far...deserves a start. IMO
Kouyate is not impressing me in his overall game..strolling about half the time...funny how certain players get stick at their slightest mistake and others get away with murder.

Re: Team vs Sunderland
Obiang for Kouyate for me as he protects the back 4 better than any of our other midfielders and Noble can play further up where he has been better.

I would have said for Lanzini a few games ago but he's been excellent when dropping back more centrally and his ball.retention is much better than Kouyate's

Going by the potential injuries as per Bilic's press conference today-

Adrian

Jenkinson Tomkins Kouyate Cresswell

Obiang Payet Noble

Moses Zarate
Sakho

I could happily swap Zarate for Lanzini though.

Hardly, our main problem against Norwich is we didn't win the midfield and the Noble/Kouyate combination is too weak with 4 offensive players. Did you not watch the game Saturday?

Our away success have been built on hard working midfield defensive performances, twice with Obiang in the side and the other Oxford played the Obiang roll.

So basically your side failed at home to beat Norwich and were 2nd best on the day on the whole, in particular when your chosen midfield were on the pitch.

Thankfully I'm 100% Bilic isn't going to make the same mistake and Obiang will start.

Croe
All 5 have played in a winning game, what you saying.
We haven't had the same 5 in any game.
Your point is invalid.

The man's a cunt. Judging by this latest set of predictions he's losing it.

and yet you choose a midfield that hasn't won away....

See know reason to change from our winning ways.
Though is Reid is absent then we don't want Collins there.
A pity Burke is out on loan. Maybe Slaven will put Kouyate in central defence to combat Defoe's pace.
I'd rather we have Oxford though.

Why does Lawro hate us so much .. he has us down for a 2 -0 loss.

In his table we are 3rd from bottom ..

Re: Team vs Sunderland
If both Reid and Ogbonna are out Tonka and Collins will need protection against Defoe and Borini's pace. Obiang will have to play.
